All You Need is Love (and Netflix)

We are a family that LOVES music. In fact, Paul and the boys just recorded their own song for me and made a CD so I can listen in the car to their lyrics and incredible rapping skills! When Jayden was younger, we would set up our living room like a concert hall. We would love watching him dress up, wear a mic headset (“like the REAL singers, mom!”) and usually he’d let me introduce him as his favourite artist (the crowd clearly loved his Justin Bieber concerts!). He’d shake the audience member’s hands and lip-sync and dance like he saw them do on YouTube!

I grew up listening to music with my own parents and performing all the hits of that era! My childhood home often had The Beatles, Anne Murray and Neil Diamond (like many of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s). I remember finding my parent’s old 45s and recording my own mixed tapes to listen toon my walkman during long family road trips in the summers. I knew all the words to the “oldies” and would often catch my parents singing along as we drove. If we were lucky in those days, they’d grab each other and we’d get to see how REAL dancing was done in the 60s! They had their own style and moves together and I loved to giggle and watch them tear up the living room rug.

Families around the world can now come together over Beat Bugs, the new Netflix original series for kids inspired by music made famous by the Beatles, including all-star cover artists like P!nk, Aloe Blacc, Eddie Vedder and Sia. Each episode will feature some of the most well-known Beatles songs woven into uplifting stories filled with melody, hope and the wonders of friendship.#BeatBugs

Before tuning in, be sure to check out this just-released look behind the scenes, which features commentary from series creator Josh Wakely, and superstar cover artists James Corden (“I’m a Loser”), Jennifer Hudson (“I’ll Follow the Sun”) and James Bay (“Hey Bulldog”). Beat Bugs is now bringing The Beatles hits to a new generation!

Beat Bugs is now available on Netflix, and the Season 1 soundtrack is available exclusively on Apple Music.

I saw The Beatles perform live 3 times in the 60s. They are my all time fav band. I bought every album, eight track and cd. I saw both movies. I still love their music.
