Summer is here and while I’m slowly adjusting to life on thyroid medication, it turns out that in addition to some lovely side-effects, my new bedtime is 9pm! The up side to this of course, is that I have a great excuse to crawl into bed and grab the remote to watch some of my favourite Netflix shows that are back this summer!
I can’t wait to start this tonight! Orange is the New Black is back with Season 4, but do you even remember the last scene of Season 3? The one when they the fence was knocked down and the women went swimming? The moment of freedom that they all felt, the relationships that were able to blossom and the wounds that were healed? Yes, me too and there may have been tears.
Almost one quarter of Canadians surveyed (23%) plan to watch the previous season, so clearly I will be one of many who will rewatch that last episode of season 3 before devouring another season of my favourite inmates at their best (and worst)….I mean, come on…don’t you want to know what THIS scene means?
What in the world will Piper, Crazy Eyes, Tasty, Poussey, Red and Daya do next?
Will Piper and Alex be together and is Ruby Rose still there (major girl crush)?

Daya goes into labor. Sophia suffers a hate crime. Stella helps Piper with a business snag. Taystee takes on a new role. - Episode 13 – “Trust no bitch”
Miracles and conversions occur, but Piper and Caputo know that some situations can’t be dealt with through spiritual means.
In addition to OITNB (check here for tips to host a GNI party), other series are back with new seasons….have you seen the second season of “The UnBreakable Kimmy Schmidt? (I liked season 2 better than 1), or Grace and Frankie (can we talk about how gorgeous Jane Fonda is?).
So, yes, T.V. in the summer totally sucks, but we can still get our binge-on with Netflix! What will YOU be watching?
