This thermometer ROCKS!
For a change, it’s my little Jayden who is very sick right now with a high fever…and unlike his brother Zack, is not used to thermometers and being bugged! He absolutely hates staying still for this necessary test.
I have been monitoring Jayden’s fever for the last two days while he watches the Wiggles, eats a freezie or sleeps! The infrared technology is so incredible! You aim the light at the child’s forehead- about 4 inches away, then move towards their head until the two lit circles create one circle and let go- the time to get an accurate read is seconds!
When I first tested it, Zack’s nurse was skeptical because she is an RN and used to the traditional equipment (armpit test!). She tested this thermometer with me and we both fell in love with it! Zack went from hating this part of her daily visits, to not being bothered at all. He could still play, eat or watch Elmo and we could get the vitals we needed to track each day! If only the same technology could be used for a stethoscope!
