We have an amazing babysitter who is in her first year at university this year!  While she is so caring, responsible and conscientious, it’s great to be able to give her a sense of security with all the details she could possibly need in an emergency.
There are clearly labelled sections about your child (date of birth, medicines, etc.) where I list all of my son Zack’s medical needs, medicine and feeding schedule.  There is a section for emergency contacts as well as instructions on how to handle an emergency.  All relevant information that a caregiver may be asked by ambulance or police can be added (address, home phone, nearest intersection, etc.).  Things that may be hard to remember in a real crisis!
This go-to baby “bible” can be attached to your wall or fridge and contains several refresher instructions on what to do in the case of choking, burns, and falls and includes safety tips for your home.  The nurse who looks after our son loved how relevant the information was for any new parent or babysitter.
I love this concise information station and would recommend it for any new parents or parents of children with special medical needs.
