Showing the 90s some love and feeling young again

Last week’s Prince HitnRun concert in Toronto just reinforced that music was just incredible in the 90s. We knew all the words, they didn’t swear (much), the innuendo was subtle, the artists had more than one hit and we all kinda liked the same stuff. When Prince played only his hits from the 80s and 90s the entire audience was on their feet for the full two hours (and two encores) and to be honest, I was totally taken back to the club dance clubs in the 90s!

I’m not sure if there has always been a coolness about things in the past, but there is a resurgence to all things “throwback” or “retro”, with the invention of Throwback Thursdays (#TBT) on social media and even in tv and movies. Never before has it been cool to find a photo from the past and share it with friends…

Baggy sweatshirts and shoulder pads, yup, been there and done that…

Big hair and earring from the prom, yup…

 Drunk at a frat party…..maybe….

If you’re like me and totally love all things that remind you that you were once YOUNGER than 40, then you must love the new retro #Newstalgia shows on Netflix Canada
They have my fave 90s TV shows and movies like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Full House and Friends, American Pie, Basic Instinct, A Different World, Buffy, Dawson’s Creek and so many more you will remember! Or you can even see your favourite 90s stars now in these films and series on Netflix; Robin Wright and Kevin Spacey before House of Cards and Laura Prepon when she was stuck in That 70s Show.
Trust me….it’s guaranteed to make you feel young again!

Disclosure: Yay! I am part of the Netflix stream team (#StreamTeam) and have received product and a subscription to Netflix in exchange for writing monthly posts.  Already a huge Netflix fan, this is a pretty sweet deal!
