Chuggington is coming to theatres Nov. 24-25th

Last month I told you about the ‘Toons for Toddlers awesome screening of the Wiggles Big Birthday! Now I’m excited to share this new adventure for all families with young children!

This November 24th and 25th  ‘Toons for Toddlers are returning with The Best of Chuggington- Fan Favourites” at participating theatres across Canada including: Toronto, Ottawa, London, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, and Vancouver.
For a full list of show times visit http://www.toonsfortoddlers.com.

The best part is that this is an extremely affordable family outing, with tickets only $6 per person (babies in arms are free). At the end of the show, each child receives a small gift (colouring sheet, stickers, or other stuff), And if you want a morning off, this is the kind of event that a grandparent could enjoy with their grandchild. To reduce wait times at the box office, tickets are being sold in advance on line, at http://www.toonsfortoddlers.comor you can phone ticketweb.ca directly at 1-888-222-6608.

I’ll admit that our boys have grown up with Thomas the Tank Engine, so while I know far too much about trains and how to build a fabulous track…I didn’t know much about Chuggington (which I thought was the name of the train! oops!).

I watched a few episodes on YouTube and I learned about the “traintastic” adventures with eager engines Wilson, Koko and Brewster who are all learning to become working trains. Kids will love to follow these three young chuggers on their adventures, fun and excitement on the rails. Throughout each episode, the trainees embark on different adventures where they learn to ride the rails of life and explore Chuggington, a safe and exciting world. Each episode is designed to teach simple, yet important, social-emotional lessons that help preschoolers prepare for their early learning years.

What is ‘Toons for Toddlers?
It’s a 60 minute, toddler friendly, screening that runs with lights left dim and reduced sound levels.  I really appreciate that the conditions for these screenings are optimal for families who have children with special needs, hearing loss or autism.  If you’ve ever tried to take your little one to enjoy an animated movie in the theatre, you’ve probably found that once the lights go dark and the sound booms through the speakers  your little one is scared, or else after an hour they lose interest. TFT is the perfect, affordable, outing for your family!

TFT was created by the owner and founder of Moviesfor Mommies -Canada’s original mom and baby film event.  Now a mainstay for moms on maternity leave, these grown up movies run as weekly matinees for moms to enjoy, while baby sleeps.  But after a few years, as the MFM moms started having second and third children, they wrote to the founder, asking for movies they could take their little ones to enjoy.

Disclaimer: I have been a long time fan of Movies for Mommies, and I was happy to be compensated for supporting this event.
